EVERYONE’S IRISH ON ST PATRICK’S DAY – even in Auckland

If they say they're Irish, they're Irish.

If they say they’re Irish, they’re Irish. Don’t argue with the sousaphone player!

My path along Auckland’s Queen St was blocked today by a lot of people wearing green.

Not all of them looked Irish, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The craic was foin!

  1. It is rather like Irish pubs, you can always be sure to find one!

  2. Celebrate next year in Ireland – “the craic’s mighty!”

  3. Looks like fun! I used to love St Patrick’s Day when I was working in Sydney but it is not quite the same where I am living now and I had almost forgotten that it was St Patrick’s Day. Great photos 🙂

  4. Lovely photos, Richard. Boston is my home town so St Patrick’s Day is big big big. green beer parades, funny green hats, four-leaf clovers, plastic Shillelaghs, everyone wearing something green (don’t mention that St Patrick was English by birth) but most memorable to me was my classmate in high school, Sharon Murphy wearing all orange on the day. She was one of the smart set. We didn’t dare ask..
