I know, I know, fires are not funny, especially in Australia in summer. However this time, in this place…
My fellow children’s author, hiking friend and blogger Duncan was driving and had the camera in his pocket. I was in the passenger seat and had my hands free at the right time.
It was a serious fire in a large homeware and electronics business. Nobody was hurt, although we understand there was considerable property damage. We assume Harvey Norman has plenty of insurance, so we can relax a little and smile at the photo.
‘Who do we sell it to?’ asked Duncan.
Neither of us knew, so we’ll just use it for blogging purposes. Feel free to link to it and make it go viral!
Priceless!!
Unfortunately, Debra, it may be priceless. It would be nice if there was a buck in it, but I fear not.
If it’s any consolation, it has amused several of my friends.
Thanks for the encouragement, Heather. We were childish enough to giggle as we passed it, and relieved to find later that it wasn’t some terrible human tragedy.
Great timing!
We sometimes get lucky, Jennifer, though not often.
